A Small Magazine Bowl Project

The World Wide Web seems to be filled with magazine paper bowls made by craft enthusiasts. I wanted to try too.

If you want to make your own, you can find instructions HERE
I decided to paint my bowl white, because I like simplicity. If you want to paint yours, I'd recommend spray painting, because at least I managed to make small bubbles with "normal" paint.

The power of a praying wife

I started reading this book:

Source

I just finished the first chapter, and I got to say, this book seems to be amazing. Omartian writes honestly about the challenges she and her husband have had and how God saved their marriage. Even after just one chapter, the book has made me think about my role as a wife.

Here are couple things Omartian writes in the first chapter:

- It's not always easy to pray for your husband. He can hurt you by being inconsiderate and uncaring. He can also irritate you.

- If you want to be a wife who wants to do right (not be right) and give life instead of get even, pray for your husband.

- "In every broken marriage, there is at least one person whose heart is against God." And because of this, the big picture gets blurred. The big picture is that GOD CAN HEAL YOUR MARRIAGE. There's always hope. And God is willing to restore your dead marriage.

I will end this post with Michael Omartian's words:

"I can think of no better way to truly love your husband than lifting him up in prayer on a consistent basis."

Exotic soaps

I bought these lovely and exotic soaps from BKK (Terminal 21). I think the tin boxes are awesome! And they smell amazing...

Apple, Papaya, Mangosteen.

Terminal 21

My new favorite shopping mall in Bangkok is Terminal 21. It's not your typical mall, instead it's full of small independent shops with creatively dressed window displays. So it's a perfect place to do some window shopping if you're traveling with a tight budget. PLUS there's a really cheap food court!

(About the pics: I'm sorry their not sharp. I was in a hurry to take them before someone would come to say "no camera!" In many malls in BKK, photographing is prohibited. Later I noticed that everyone else were taking pics, so I guess it's not a NO-NO in Terminal 21.)

The Paris floor

Unfortunately this shop didn't actually sell "korvia" (It's ears in Finnish). I'd like to have an extra pair.

2013 Prayer

Dear God,

Thank You for the year 2012. It was a year of joy and a year of grief. Thank You for making me stronger, and making me see  things more deeply. Thank You for never leaving my side.

I'm asking you to be with me trough the year 2013. Let the year 2013 be a year filled with your glory. I ask that you'll use me, so more people would know how loving you are. Bless me Lord so I can be a blessing.

Amen.
