Hiking in Kolvananuuro

Last Saturday I went hiking with my hubby, in-laws and a chocolate labrador retriever. The place is called Kolvananuuro and it's a conservation area.

"With this stick I'll protect you if a bear attacks."

"I'm just a small dog in a big world."

Silver Linings Playbook

We just watched Silver Linings Playbook, and I loved it! If you haven't seen it yet, you really have to rent/buy it! ASAP!

Here's couple reason why it's a great film:

1. The characters

Jennifer Lawrence really deserved her Oscar. Also Cooper is wonderful and so genuine. And De Niro!

2. The story

It's funny and serious at the same time.

3. It makes you think...

I know people who have to suffer from bipolar disorder, but  my perspective has still been quite narrow.

4. All the running scenes

"Hey!"

I'm not the only one who has liked to movie. HERE you can find a review done by a blogger who actually has to survive with the disorder, and he thinks the movie is awesome.

Kitchen Evolution Part 2

And here are the after pics.

And I got all those things! The tiles we chose are handmade. The white cabinets are from Ikea. I have to say, their service was excellent, and I would highly recommend Ikea as a place to get your kitchen cabinets, at least if you don't have a huge budget.

Now our kitchen is almost ready. I still have to find a perfect rug and make the curtains. I already have the fabric, though. Maybe I'll post pics when I finally have time to actually sew them.

What about you? Do you like white kitchens? Or are you a color person?

Mirror mirror on the wall...

Have you seen the new Dove commercial (Dove Real Beauty Sketches)?

Although I consider myself a woman with relatively good self-esteem, I also have "I'm so fat, I hate my nose, I am ugly!" moments. I guess every woman has these "moments" but still we are constantly telling other girls and women "No you're not fat! You are beautiful."

It seems like it's become a normal part of female interaction to bash yourself but not allow other women do it to themselves without telling them they are wrong.

I collected some interesting facts about women's perceptions of  their beauty and body image.

I want to end this post with Emily Dickinson's brilliant words.
